A Festive Mosaic - presented by the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton

Celebrate the Spirit of Christmas when the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton (UMCE) presents A Festive Mosaic. This annual Christmas concert will feature the sounds of the Gateway Chorus, HarpRouge Trio, and the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton! A highlight at this year's concert will be the UMCE's performance of Conrad Susa's Carols & Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest – commissioned in 1992 as a companion piece to Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols. Using the unique instrumentation of harp, marimba, and Spanish guitar, Carols and Lullabies is a suite of traditional carols in Spanish and Catalan. Susa described the work as “a Southwestern piñata party for the new baby.” The chorus is thrilled to present this work together with Keri Lynn Zwicker (harp), Brian Thurgood (marimba), and Marcus Wasnea (guitar). Tickets: $20 for adults, $10 for students, and free for children 12 & under.  Available online, at the door, and from choir members.
