FRAMS Summer Walking Tour: A Century of Architecture and Design in Edmonton

While Edmonton may not be old, architecturally speaking, it boasts a surprisingly diverse and progressive history of design and architecture reflecting our evolution from agricultural boomtown, to work shed of the oil industry, to cultural hot spot on the Prairie.  Explore some of our city's architectural gems hidden in plain sight, and learn about the evolution of our downtown through its historic buildings.  The tour will be led by Dan Rose, local heritage expert and Chair of the Edmonton Historical Board. Details: The tour will begin and end at the Royal Alberta Museum. Meet at the Royal Alberta Museum by 5:30pm for tour start at 5:45pm. The tour will last 75-90 minutes, followed by Q&A with our guide in the lobby or courtyard at the museum following the tour.  The tour is free, but donations are appreciated.
